Biography: Tiana had always been interested in cooking, thanks to her father James. He not only instilled in her a love for food but, with the help of her mother Eudora, the two instilled in her the fact that it was fine to wish for something as long as you planned to work hard to back it up. Tiana took that lesson to heart and, as soon as she was able, started working two jobs so that she could open up the restaurant she and her father always dreamed of: Tiana’s Place. Her best friend, Charolette, was set to marry a man named Naveen. Naveen made a deal with the shadow man Faclier. Facilier turned Naveen into a frog and, believing that the frog would turn into a prince, Tiana kissed him. Instead she herself turned into a frog. The two ventured to get free of their froggy forms, making friends of each other as well as a firefly named Ray and an alligator named Louis. The two found out from Mama Odie that they needed something to change them back: to dig deep into themselves to find their humanity. Dr. Facilier offered Tiana her humanity and her restaurant in exchange for Naveen, an offer she was about to accept before Chernabog’s curse set in. Tiana became Dia Macedonia, the owner and head chef at the restaurant/jazz bar Tiana’s Palace. She has found her cookbook of Cajun meals and thus has her memories.
