General History:
Born a daughter to a man who wanted sons, Audrey Ramirez was always exceptionally bright. At the age of 18 months she could both take apart and repair any clock in her household. By the age of 3, her mother Ana realized that Audrey could undo any lock so the woman refused to keep snacks in the house. While her sister Nena showed aggression in boxing, Audrey loved the calm of her father Manuel’s workspace. Manuel realized that Audrey had a gift for mechanics when at age four she rebuilt an 1896 Quadracycle Runabout. Manuel took her on as his apprentice, though he couldn’t admit that to his customers. The family moved to Detroit where both Manuel and Audrey started working for Henry Ford Automotive to pay for their new shop. Audrey showed promised working for the company where she was eventually put in the forefront of the new Automotive Labor Movement. Her father joined a well to do man named Preston Whitmore to locate a book called the Shepard’s Journal. After Manuel retired, Audrey joined an expedition to find the lost city of Atlantis, financed by Whitmore. As chief mechanic, she did everything from trying to keep the submarine called The Ulysses that the crew was using safe after a monstrous Leviathan struck it. Despite these efforts, Commander Rourke ordered the crew to abandon the doomed ship. Though it was her job to keep the machines running right, the new boy Milo fixed the machine called The Digger. This earned him Audrey’s ire at first. However, she and the others soon took him in as one of their own. Audrey even opened up to Milo and told him how she planned on opening a repair shop.
The group no sooner saw the beauty of Atlantis than Chernabog’s curse hit and turned Audrey from Audrey Rocio Ramirez into Lillie Ramirez.
Lillie was always one of the boys but to the father who wanted a son, that wasn’t enough. He thought he was right until Lillie started to show promise in mechanics. Her father Manny found the way she worked on cars to be impressive and took out a loan to help put her through college. Unfortunately the loan was through Bill Sykes, his boss. Sykes set a hefty price on the loan so Lillie set to make things right: working and even living with Sykes to pay back the loan.
