Biography: Son of King Hubert, Prince Philip met the woman who would become his true love on the day she was born, though he was five at the time and didn't know how important she would become to him. After witnessing the gifts of the first two good fairies, he then witnessed the curse of Malificent: the Princess Aurora would prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and die. The third good fairy said that she would not die but fall into slumber and that loves true kiss would wake the princess. Sixteen years later, while Princess Aurora was being raised in the woods by the fairies as Briar Rose, Philip met a beautiful blonde woman in the woods who, though frightened of him, wanted to meet him later at her cottage. Philip raced home to tell his father he had met the woman he was going to marry before racing back to the cottage to be captured by Malificent. Malificent brought him to her forbidden fortress and threw him into the dungeons, where she taunted him with the knowledge that his true love and the woman he was betrothed to were one in the same: Princess Aurora. The three good fairies rescued him and gave him an enchanted sword and shield to save Aurora from the evil Malificent. As he rode off, Chernabog's curse set in and turned Prince Philip into Preston Phillips. Preston is a college student who majors in psychology, specifically dreams and what they mean. He doesn't believe in true love, having never seen it with his own eyes.
